Hollowhorn - Restoration Druid

Post by The Hollowhorn »

Name: Will
Country: England
Age: 21

Occupation: I am currently the assistant manager at a sports club and have been for 2 years. I wish to persue this until i get my certificates so that i will have the option of owning my own pub.

Freetime: In my freetime i play WOW and socialise with my RL friends. My RL friends also play WOW which means i get to do what i love and still talk with my friends.

Gear: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... Hollowhorn

I feel that i must apologise for the low level of my gear. But again like most people with the expansion coming out gear at this moment gear will be irelevant. My reasons for my gear is that the guild i have been in (which i shall list in another section) either stopped raiding for their own reasons or lacked the numbers to do so, there fore myself and afew others falling behind. But with the lack of gear i do not find that this effects my skills at healing. Healing is something i truly enjoy and i think that i am rather good at it.

Mainspec: My spec at this moment in time is 0/0/61 i am fully in the restoration tree but if i am am accepted then i can re-spec to suit the guilds wants and needs. With my current spec i find that i am able to heal well and shall continue to research into better specs.

Guilds: As like kazzier who is my RL best friend we have pretty much being together in every guild that we have joined, meaning my guild listing shall be very similar.

LoKi: LoKI is a guild on the hellscream server where i was the main recruiting officer in the guild. It was my job to read through the aplicants and then discuss with the other recruiting officers wheather they were accpeted or not. On the release of LOTRO many of the wow members moved to try out this new game which very quickly put a halt to our raiding and our objectives for the guild. With LoKi not being a pro raiding guild anymore kazzier and i decided to create new charecters on the DB server.

Fist Of Ruin: I joined Fist Of Ruin with the highest of expectations and at first i was not let down. The guild was active and very social but with depart of our guild leader we decided to merge with another guild.

Taur Nu Fuin: The merge that we did with Taur Nu Fuin was great. We started raiding with them straight away and all was going well. I met many new friends there that i still talk to now. Sadly with the depart of mant of the raiding members raiding stopped. I personally am looking for a raiding guild which is also sociable, not just a social guild.

The Horde watch/ The grip of saul: I have enjoyed my time here but raiding has slowed down extremley within the last few weeks to a month. though i enjoyed my time here i think it is time for myself to move on and make new friends and be able to raid in a more organised and raid orientated guild.

I would just like to point out that these guilds have been over a span of 4 years.

Raidexperience: Everything bar the very end raids but i feel that this is because i have been held back since i switched server at such a late date.

Why Ubi? I would like to join Ubiquity because i love raiding. I want Hollowhorn to be the best that he can and i feel that working as a team Hollowhorn can become great and can become a great addition to the team.

What can i bring: I would like to think that i can bring to the guild my friendship, my dedication, help where i can bring it and hopefully be a good addition to the team. I can also be looked upon for advice and basically help out as much as i can where i can.

Who do I know in Ubi? The only person i know is kazzier. He has told me many great things about you as i have heard from many people.

Last comments: Wake up the ap is finally over ha ha

Edit: I forgot to add that my professions are
- Alchemy 360
- Herbalism 375

Thankyou very much for your time reading this and i hope to hear back from you very soon. Thank you again.

any reason you left out living spirit, mastershapeshifter and Nature Swiftness in your specc?

Looks likes the weirdest(and worst) resto spec i have ever seen.

The main reason for my spec is because im still experimenting. With the new Patch all druids had their talent points given back to spec again. I recently baught a new glyph the glyph healing touch and i specced more on that than anything else for the flash heal equilivant.

But as i said im still experimenting with it and do wish to change it after some more research.

I am of course willing to spec to a raiding standard and will do.

Thankyou for your comments

I totally understand people trying out new glyphs(i said to mourn i suspected you trying some HT glyph build) but nevertheless, leaving out absolutly core talents like NS, master shapeshifter, only 2/3 intensity, speccing imp Tree but not taking Living Spirit, shows me that you are not quite ready yet and dont fit our needs.

I wish you good luck in the future

next time i am online (you most likely will find me on my mage emeli) plz whisper me and have a talk.

To be completly honest with you:

your application was among the best we have had in some time. It shows you ahve taken soem time to write it down, and shows some nice social skills which is definatly somethign we require.

On the other hand you spec showed that you seemingly have little clue about how a resto druid works, how gamemechanics work etc.

So i wont deny this application just yet, but gonna have a talk with you before if you dont mind.

Thank you very much for the compliment on my aplication, indeed i took alot of time and thaught into what i was writing as it is a seriouse application. I look forward to our upcoming chat and hope that good will come of it.

The spec i had was as i said an experiment and in no way would i have tried doing an end game dungen with that spec.

I have now re-specced to the one móurn suggested and shall try this one.

Thankyou very much again

actually the whole spamming casted heals build doesn´t make sense to me. your class is the best h.o.t. class in the game. your class was the best pvp healer in tbc because of that. trying to play a casting build is like a priest trying to play with only instants.

i only linked that build to show that even as a healing touch build, your spec could be better. i just don´t believe there is any sense in a healing touch build. it sounds a lot like the "shiv builds" some rogues try and advocate at every patch.

goodluck anyway. a bad build isn´t the end of the world, but we do need to make our decision on some criteria. have a chat with emeli and maybe we will play together in ubiquity soon. :)
